*Douglas Petrovich:  고고학자 및 교수, 히브리 알파벳의 기원에 대한 연구로 유명. 이집트 시나이 반도에서 발견된 고대 비문이 히브리 문자임을 주장하는 "세계에서 가장 오래된 알파벳(The World's Oldest Alphabet)"의 저자. 토론토 대학교에서 시리아-팔레스타인 고고학으로 박사 학위를 받았으며, 중동 지역의 여러 발굴 작업에 참여, 고대 근동 역사, 성경 역사, 언어학에 관한 다수의 저술.
